The group provides support for those affected by stroke and their carers who live in Ammanford and district.
The group evolved from a Stroke Association project which was lottery funded. It is open to stroke survivors and their carers of all ages and abilities. The group is self-funding
Who can join?
Membership is open to anyone who’s been affected by stroke, including stroke survivors, carers, friends and family members.“BLAS” welcomes those affected by stroke regardless of gender, faith, ethnicity, sexual orientation and economic status.

integration within the local community - Redefine and reclaim skills
- Aid adjustment to stroke related disability and increase confidence
- Achieve a significant increase in quality of life
for stroke survivors and their carers

- To provide members with information on life after stroke.
- To organize social and enjoyable activities for members.
- To raise funds to support the work of the group.
- To raise awareness of stroke in the community.
Volunteers
Survival of the group depends on a committed group of volunteers.
